Why start a courtship to marriage program? by Leora Jackson I was inspired spiritually to start this program because of a deep, intense concern with the family structure. I noticed there were a lot of single parents in my son's football group. Since, I was one of the Team Moms, I would sometimes ask for their help with projects like volunteering, pep rally, team banquet, etc. They would not be able to assist. I was noticing that they didn’t have time to come to the meetings, volunteer to help start the PTA or help with fundraisers because they were working two jobs. The double shifts at work will stress out the single mom or single father when they’re the only provider for the home. So, the child’s parent may be the only provider for 1, 2, 3 or more children and that’s very stressful. These single parents have to deal with A LOT!!
